“I often get asked how I choose to draw or paint the particular people that I do. I don’t know how to express that there has to be some kind connection, usually accompanied by a feeling of “must draw/paint”. Elderly people have a special place in my heart and as much as I love painting the beauty of youth, there’s such a moving quality about older people.”
